Great test. People also probably need to try themselves as results can be different. I love the LTDx LS, but will play with Aero too. I have a swing speed around 135 mph and the Aero worked slighly better, at least for me (lower spin on average). Don't expect too much vs an already awesome driver, maybe can work better for some, and not for others. Both great drivers.

100% agree my videos are somewhat pointless in all honesty as you always need to go test them yourselves. This is merely my opinion 😂 wow 135 is quick!! Yeah exactly that, and everyone will find slightly different results too. So yeah only option is to try for yourself 👌

The Cobra LTDx LS was the fastest because they came extremely strong lofted, I measured three different 9* models at 8* or just under 8* of loft, almost all other heads from TM and Callaway had more loft on them, for example I measured a Stealth Plus 9* and it had 9.8* loft. So Cobra is doing something clever to get more ball speed and that is both a very forward CG combined with being stronger lofted than the stamped loft.
@epgolfstudios
Жыл бұрын
That's very interesting. Although I found it was actually a faster head, it was the ability to generate more club head speed over any other models that then translated into more ball speed. Did quite a bit of testing with head weights ect and generally I found regardless I could swing it quicker. I even saw it pretty consistently in fittings too.
@RCGolf

@@epgolfstudios I measured the heads to be lighter as well 192g vs 196g in the Stealth. I tend to swing forward cg drivers faster given the same head weight vs very back cg drivers like Ping.

I cannot wait to get my hands on the Aerojet head so I can compare side by side. The LTDx LS is performing VERY well for me at the moment! Great video, doesn’t look like there’s a ton in it for me.

Brilliant review. So refreshing to have a guy who definitely really knows the technical and 'feel' aspect of drivers. Knowing that some of the shots with the Aerojet would have been wet if it was the LTDX demonstrates your experience and knowledge. Much appreciated, just subscribed ... Cheers

Really enjoying your reviews. I was surprised the Aerojet was more draw-biased. Especially with a flatter lie angle than the LTDX LS. Comparing the Aerojet LS to the TSR3, which one has more draw bias ?? I'm looking for a low spin driver with the most built-in draw. Keep the comparisons coming !!
@epgolfstudios
Жыл бұрын
Yeah I think it's because it sits slightly less open then year. It certainly looks that way to my eye anyway. Yeah lowest spin driver that can be made the more draw bias would be the TSR3 id say for sure. It's not as low spin as the others but you've got the 8* head option too, so you can turn it up to 8.75* and put in 1.5* upright, weight in the heel, maybe slightly lighter swingweight and shorter shaft and Def more draw bias that the rest can be.

I can't say id change its not quite as long, fancy, trending as others, but its like my Toyota. reliable, stable and until the boys pull ahead and are consistently getting the better of me- im good thx for your analysis, cheers

Have u ever made a video on driver weight or swing weight effect ball speed and spin? LS u get 3/10g combo, but any shaft combo can change that from D1-D6. It’s there any reason to change it to 3/3g or 3/6g or it doesn’t matter? Love to see a video on that. Or even see stock shaft with 3/3 c9 swing weight vs D3
@epgolfstudios
Жыл бұрын
Yes I have a very mega in depth video on that but it is a bit of an older one so probably crap quality 😂 if you look back the thumbnail is a pic of me post impact with driver and I think its called More Ball Speed with Driver. But yeah generally I wouldn't expect headweight to have much of an effect on launch and spin unless you went to the extremes. I would use that weights just to dial in swingweight to produce better timing and help reduce the miss 👌

Good Good just did a long drive with all their new sponsored Paradym fitted drivers. Unfortunately they had also done one a year ago with their assorted previous drivers. None of them matched the distances they were getting with the old sticks. And sadly Steve only had 2 balls in play with the Callaway. The real shock is Garrett was the only one that was fitted for the driver he had a year ago. The rest were hand me downs.

I may be mistaken but didn't you have the Aerojet set up with the 12gms in the heel, thus draw bias, but you said you had the LTDX set up with the 10gns in the toe?
@epgolfstudios
Жыл бұрын
Yeah I muddled that bit up a bit didn't I with the LTD 🙈😂 I am slowly getting better on camera! But no if you look closely the LTD also had the bigger weight (10g in the LTD) set in the heel. @@epgolfstudios I just picked up my LTDX reg today, and confirmed the gold weight makes it difficult to see the grammage and I didn't pick it up where the weights were on the video. Am I correct in concluding you tested both in draw bias, on a fade leaning club?
@epgolfstudios
Жыл бұрын
@@anthonygollan831 with the weight in the heel these are classed as neutral CG because the head is naturally faded bias so the weight in the heel neutralises that out a bit. The weight in the toe then does make it very fade bias. But yes both in neutral set up
