Thank you again! Nowhere in the owner's manual does it explain how to adjust the banana slide. Your video makes so much sense!

This was really helpful. I didn’t know what the banana slide was (I though it was the guide on the right to help with spacing off the edge, but now I know, and have encountered this problem with stepping up onto a thicker spot in my sewing! Thanks, Al!

When I did this on my machine, then the outer foot wouldn’t lift at all afterward. I got it going after a bit but don’t even know what I did. What did I do wrong? I need to raise it a tad more but now I’m afraid to.

The presser foot lifting mechanism and related components inside the faceplate probably needed a little lubrication. After you adjusted the banana slide the additional travel didn't have enough lubrication on it until it moved around a little bit. You think you need to lift the feet a little higher? Are you at the very end of the banana slides ijustability?

Is this the same thing you do if you find your machine is leaving "foot prints" in your leather?

No.. This raises the walking motion of the presser foot so it can allow the material to travel under more efficiently.

@@albaneforleather Aha! Thank you. So is it possible to adjust something so the presser foot doesn't leave foot prints?
