You can do namespace refactor in phpstorm. Open a class which you want to move in another namespace. Select namespace and after that, you have Refactor -> Move Namespace. Be careful, you can change all files related to the changeable namespace.

05:45 Route::view is something that would've made perfect sense in that case, IMHO.

Well in that case, there should be no dashboard at all. And thanks for valuable comments.

Middleware settings in the route web file or in the controller constructor -.which solution is better?
@mabdullahsari
3 жыл бұрын
Defining middleware in the routes file is way better because of visibility. Otherwise it is not clear which route is using which piece of middleware.

Can you please tell me where to write database queries correctly in models, repositories or somewhere else?
@LaravelDaily
3 жыл бұрын
Depends on what queries and how many of them. Simple ones can be in controllers, if you have more complex logic you can create services/repositories or other patterns.
@mabdullahsari
3 жыл бұрын
I like to create a Queries namespace to place commonly used Application specific queries inside of it. Each query in a separate class. Unique queries can stay in the controllers, nothing wrong with that.

It's confusing for me to name in singular or plural. for example, I always make a resource for the test (test.index, test/{test}/show) if creating a test? or should I use tests in route?
@mabdullahsari
3 жыл бұрын
You should go for "tests" if you are willing to adhere to the 7 RESTful verbs. Your route should be GET tests/{test} for showing a single resource. Appending show at the end is redundant.
@debjit21
3 жыл бұрын
@@mabdullahsari I did not get why use plural? There is the index for all tests, and show, edit, update and delete the single result. I am not using multiple tests at a time. So why name test to tests route?
@mabdullahsari
3 жыл бұрын
@@debjit21 That's how REST works. GET /books = view all books GET /books/{id} = view a single book POST /books = create a brand new book PUT /books/{id} = update a single book etc.

@@mabdullahsari The code itself isn't bad haha it's the way I implemented api authentication 😉 It scares people I've told because "I'm not using thoroughly tested stuff" Try making an authentication system for open source clients where the user can see the JWT salt AND allow other users to connect to each other securely.... I need a way to provide tokens while making the salt unique for each user so they can't forge a way in someone else's server 😎
