Sometimes I feel like there are barely any planners out in the world and getting other devs to think things through can be such a struggle sometimes. So I was genuinely surprised and love that you're doing so! Taking a bit beforehand to break down a project or task truly makes the entire process flow more easily and ensures you do things fully and correctly! You've gained a new sub from me ❤

Since you asked for tips in the vid: - I wanted to reiterate the fact that what @agenomicsphd calls pre-reqs or requirements/definition of done are so important to figure out beforehand. - Generating these may potentially come up with blockers or questions. So asking others or doing research upfront saves time from having to re-do portions. - Communicate with your team, tech lead, PM, person making business decisions, whoever is relevant, that these specifications meet their needs and any limitations you've realized. This can be brought up as options, such as, this can take 1 week to do A and B, or 3 days to do A but cannot do B. But without B, these are the downsides. Saves a lot of headache and miscommunication down the road!

After I boil them, I put them in cold water and ice for 15-20 mins and the shell usually just comes right off. 😅

I second this. Also, if you tap the "bottom" less pointy end, and then roll it across the counter, and start the peel from the bottom, it usually helps too.

You should put the eggs in cold water after they are done. You are re-using the water, but I usually let the cold water from the tap run to cool down the eggs and then leave them in there for like 10 minutes. The shell will slide off so easy 😊

this was so informative and the formart of this video breaks the typical software dev dude vibe you see in most places. Thanks for this

A splash of vinegar in the water when boiling eggs can help a lot as well.

Nah she means that the eggs are too fresh, not cooked too recently. Fresh eggs are a dick to peel, the older the egg is the easier it is to peel. You can try to peel under running water, that helps a little bit@@agenomicsphd

Another tip is to leave them in cold water with ice before you peel too, if that wasn’t part of your cooling process. But yes too fresh eggs are a nightmare 😅
