After watching you, I don't feel like I take too long modelling any more.

17:34 It's funny someone says "most architecture elements are based on 2' increments" there should be nothing "typical" when it comes to architecture. There are certainly no set templates for floor plans where you are designing for each client and use individually. That would defeat the purpose of individuality and art. I have been in design-build for 40 years and never heard of such a thing :) What does it even mean? ha What elements are they talking about? :)

I think that "rule" more or less only applies to typical home architecture because building materials are sized such that a full sheet of plywood or half sheet can be divided equally in 2 foot increments.

@@therationalanarchist I am a design build contractor for over 40 years now and while we consider this, we never let it mandate anything. There are rules of thumb but again, if you let any grid determine your design, it is going to look pre-manufactured. Creativity is the key.

@SketchUp Guys. Any chance you could finally make it so that the "comment reader" and the "sketchuper" are at the same audio level, pleaaaaaase? This is breaking immersion for me extremely. While the content is super valuable, I find myself raising the volume to an extreme level to even hear the person drawing (who has the common speaking issue when he starts at a certain level and slowly falls off as he continues speaking, ending up very low at the end of his statement), only to get my ears blown off by the other dude who is just so f-ing loud :) I would have thought that using some normalizer or compressor would be the norm these days. Thank you

Thanks for pointing that out. We'll see if there's anything we can do to make it sound as good as it can on your end. Cheers.
