Fun to watch. Thanks for not trying to say cute things and be obnoxious and add annoying music like so many other YT people!!! The brakeman was highly entertaining with his cool New Hampshire accent. Thanks for sharing.

One thing for sure - Americans love wood. Where else could you see wooden platform floor. Kind of amazing.

Thank you. I rode in the back and couldn’t see much. We we’re packed then, too. You had a wonderful day.

Had a great time in June doing this. Will do it again in November, although they only go to the halfway point in winter.

Nice clear water in the river there. You can find chunks of coal in the river even 2 miles downstream that fell off the tender while crossing that trestle many years ago.

Yes you can drive to the top unless there are blizzard conditions which happen pretty regularly.

Toll road will be closed...guaranteed...mountain will be snowpacked and frozen solid...only thing allowed up are snowcats and snowmobiles...temp up top at that time of year can be -40°F with the Wind chill...hiking is not advisable unless you are experienced and properly equipped for Arctic conditions. The Cog will run if weather permits but it will only go halfway...the Obsevatory closes in mid September as do the Huts along the AT. If you want a great photo op and the weather is clear go across the road from Pinkham Notch to Wildcat Ski Area and take the lift up...the view is incredible. I have hiked Mt. Washington 5 times in all seasons so I am not kidding about the weather...i did the Toll Road up to the Nelson Craig Trail up to about 5000'...came out at the 5 mile mark of the Toll Road...-35°F wind Chill...frozen Ice pack...took 4 hours to walk down the icy Toll Road back to the car...it was Nov 1 1987...winds were gusting 60MPH at the 5000' level and 80MPH at the Summit FYI...

It’s not dangerous, they have a mechanism in place so it doesn’t go backwards.

The construction debris left alongside the trackway is an ugly eyesore. For improved aesthetics, they should have removed it.
