How do the forks work now, are they worth the money?

Why you have to cut the spacers? The DDC kit is suppossed to made for custom clients

Andrés Mendoza the spacer length provides preload to the springs. That length is determined by the user. Cogent provides a recommended length but it is up to you if you want to change that preload according to your riding preferences.

Oh yep. I just bought the DDC kit and the MOAB rear shock for my 2008 KLR. I hope to install it next weekend. Thanks!

I don't understand in your measurement it shows you cut the spacer roughly 8 mm sticking out of the top of the fork. But in your diagram it shows 7 to 10 mm below the top of the fork. Am I to assume that the fork is fully extended with the new spring in the new cut spacer sticking out roughly 8 mm and you have to push down on the cap to get it to thread? But when you were measuring it you were measuring above the top of the fork.

James M, the diagram is correct. The measurements of 7-10mm should be the space between the top of the spacer and top of fork. Sorry for the confusion.

Cyber dos yes that part is clearly stated in the video and thank you for that. But my question is is the top of the spacer supposed to be 10 mm above the top of the fork when you're finished or 10mm below the top of the fork when you're finished? Cuz in the picture of the diagram it shows the top of the spacer being roughly 10 mm below the top of the fork

James M, it is supposed to be below the top of the fork. The picture was taken with the measurements taken above the fork which is incorrect. After talking to Rick from Cogent he clarified and I made an additional cut. I just forgot to delete that image from the video. Sorry about that.

Cyber dos thank you! I assume you probably just draw a line on the spacer where it sits right at the top of the four tube and then measure 10 8 to 10 mm blow that line and then make your cut?

James M, to make things perfectly clear, when you have the forks fully extended you should not see the spacer sticking out. If it is, you are doing it wrong. :)

Hi. I just got these DDCs from Pro Cycle and installed them today. When I looked down into the fork tube I don't see a rod. I see a round opening that's smaller than the DDC, so the DDC sits on top of the opening which, I presume is the opening on the end of the rod(?). I'd say it's about a 1" diameter opening. The DDC is not a tight fit to the sides of the fork tube when I slid it down there and it doesn't seem to be any kind of a positive seal, or lock against the opening. I rode the bike and it doesn't seem all that different. Am I missing something? Thanks.
