I use tincture of Iodine on my fingernails once a week just before going to bed. I always had brittle nails and broken cuticules . I dropped some Iodine onto a cut finger and then noticed that the fingernail had changed and was harder. So I painted all the nails and my nails went brown. I went to bed and the next morning the brown was gone and all the nails had become harder. Now for two years I have the hardest, longest nails which I have to trim. Previously they just split and tore or broke off. Now I have sharp hard claws as hard as builders nails. Works on toe nails too and as a hair rinse for weak hair. Great stull that Iodine.

I always have taken Vanadium with Iodine. Most doctors never mention this trace element. When Vanadium is taken with Chromium it has huge benefits on insulin sensitivity and lowering blood sugar levels. When taking supplements you need to balance it with Chromium picolinate about Cr:500 mcg, V:10mg So my powerhouse trace mineral stack is Iodine, zinc, selenium, vanadium, chromium.

Are you taking the cofactors with the iodine. BTW sea kelp doesn't have nearly enough iodine unless you're not deficient in it. You need to to watch Dr David Brownstein and Dr. Sherry Tenpenny on the use of iodine. You need selenium, L-tyrosine, vitamin A, zinc, magnesium, D3, to help with the thyroid. I was always freezing and losing my hair and nothing helped until I increased my iodine from 12.5 to 36 mg a day. I'm happy and pissed at the doctors who missed my huge iodine deficiency for over 30 years.

His videos demonstrate that the medical profession doesn't spend much (if any) time educating their clients about the basics. They don't answer questions. They rush from room to room. You must be very careful with that kelp. My father-in-law took it to excess and he was sleeping only three hours a night and rushing around at age 52. He started taking it at age 40 but he continued with the same dose as he got older and older. He was trim at age 52 and he married a girl half his age and they had a child. After 5 years he had a stroke and lived with those results until he died. His blood pressure must have been over the top as he rushed around with 52 year old arteries while acting like a 30 year old. He couldn't bear it after the stroke because he had been a very healthy football coach in his youth. He thought he had found the fountain of youth and it harmed him. You should have a blood test and speak to your doctor before taking something without being tested.

What also should be said is that Soy, flax seeds, and raw *cruciferous vegetables* (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and cabbage) contain goitrogens that counteract iodine (NIH, 2020). In large amounts, or combined with iodine deficiency, goitrogens can exacerbate iodine deficiency or cause a goiter. My deficiency only gor better on a mostly carnivore diet (i am blood type O-) cutting out most green vegetables and taking a quality lugol iodine (mornings)
