I just brought home a beautiful hedychium 'Daniel Weeks' from plant delights and I wanted to see if anyone had a video on it, just my second one to add to the garden. Happy growing, Jeff! 😍❤️

I love your collection of plants. Do I see a papaya tree in the background?

Thanks! Oh i miss my papaya! I did have one for several years but eventually the trees grew and started shading the yard to much for it to really grow strong and flourish.

Did it produce fruit for you? I'm hoping to get one to produce fruit here in Virginia 😉

Yes, in St Pete, Fl. I believe they call us subtropical because we can get a few cold nights in Jan.

Love that flaming torch ginger. Will check out that catalog. Oh by the ways, the hummingbird stole the show. Thanks for sharing.

haha! I know! I've been trying to get better video of him but he always takes off when I approach. it's actually more rare to not see a butterfly or hummingbird on them than to not. you are in the tropics aren't you?

Also, is the ‘Anne Bishop’ cultivar hardy enough just by mulch and having it facing south?

Great ginger tour. So some gingers can tolerate more sun than others? What soil conditions do they like? We live in the PNW zone 8A. Thank you.

Wow how do you have fruiting coconut palms so far north? Here in St. Pete Florida they're hardy but I've never seen them any further north than my county lol
