Normally, in summer, they dart away long before I manage to record them properly. Nothing left but a rustle in the leaf litter then!
Now I found one early in 2024 in the same area I encountered some yellow sac spiders (or rather their web structures mostly) and wasp spiders in years prior. The site is just a little distance south of Berlin (Germany).
It barely seemed alive in the cool moist morning of March 2nd...
But a few hours later, the occasional ray of sun at noon had managed to get it closer to working temperature.
I'm not 100 % sure, but I think it is a specimen of Lacerta agilis, ... but not so agile in the cold morning...
