I love the show....they fart around for 20 min. and fire it off....they all want to make it look hard...but they are easy to start.

hjx120s Isn't that always the case? People just don't look around them, just move in front of others, whether they are shooting movies or whatever...

Hey! I see that you are trying to film/photograph something! It would be a real shame if you just happened to capture my handsome figure instead of whatever you were trying shoot, won't it?

Torque = (horsepower ÷ RPM) x 5252. If that engine makes 10hp at, say, 600rpm, then (10 ÷ 600) x 5252 = 87.5 ft-lbs of torque, which is a lot.

Ones they got it started it would have looked a lot better if they loaded it with something that could take 10 hp off the flywheel and make the engine do some graft too many people show an engine ticking over doing nothing which very quickly becomes boring come on guys fast and something to it that is going to make it labour put a 5 foot blower fan That is in a housing And blow air over the people looking at your engine

Roughly how much torque does that one produce?

Most hit and miss engines don't have much torque at all, they're just alotta raw power meant to run for a long time!!☺

I wonder how effective a hit and miss would be when used to power a household genrerator so as to power several lights and maybe an appliance or two? If they would be effective, then what a great way to save on fuel.

I hate it how modern engines are all about "economy" this and "safety" that. I really wish that they could make a modern day engine as reliable as they were back then.

not to mention all the dang sensors and computers on them :( really makes them frustrating to fix,much less diagnose. even the ABS brakes on moms windstar are computerized.

So my 1.5 hp at 500 rpm makes about 16 ft-lbs of torque, that doesn't sound like very much.

Would you sell a smaller one for around 700 bucks?
