Its so beautiful so perfect can’t believe it’s a hardtop! Now that you have such a clean platform baseline I’d look into some larger displacement 2 stroke engine swaps you could make work with that running gear.. I would think that an adaptor of some sort would need to be found or created to effectively mate a Thundercat 1000cc Case-reed 2-stroke snowmobile triple (which makes 172hp stock) to this drivetrain. One would probably have to install auxiliary engine cooling components to such an engine but once that was done you’d have quite the 4x4 on your hands! Ofcourse at that point you may as well structurally enhance the jimny more with a modern roll cage, then some fox internal bypass racing shocks and dampers dana locking differentials

Oo if I knew you I'd come over with 106 octane Sunoco 260 GT race fuel, Red line Synthetic 2 stroke racing oil, a super light full exhaust sytstem w/ expansion chamber, drivetrain grease, axle grease and would take it apart grease all moving components that would normally require grease, clean carburetor, bleed fuel and oil, clean or replace all filters, put in the high octane fuel with the red line synthetic blend maybe run it a tad leaner than recommended with that oil and fuel combo being infinitely more stable and cleaner burning than what would've been available upon this ATV's release, Some Pro Armor White Out atv specific pure snow tires (these are the most amazing tires I've ever seen, they don't have studs and look like automotive winter tires, with a closely grouped blocky tread pattern just like automotive snow tires, so these tires look like huge road tires almost yet are designed for extreme deep snow performance. So I'd buy it off ya and do all that. 4x4 2 stroke manual transmission ATV's weren't made all that much, many 4x4s were 4 stroke even back then which is unfortunate because if I'm not mistaken then 4x4 2 stroke manual transmission ATV's were the only vehicles ever to be fitted with both 2 stroke engine, 4 wheel drive and a manual transmission. 4wd+ manual transmission is a beloved combination in the automotive world for reason being that it allows for fun launches and stable acceleration. I bet this thing could be built for some serious pace in a straight line
