its true - big knives scare or at least surprise people - i have to carry a much smaller knife ( mini tuff lite ) just to make the folks comfortable - but i know the big bad wolf is always waiting in the hip pocket :-)

I just placed an order five minutes ago for this Knife. I’m getting the nicer one with the better steel. Almost $300. That stings. But I have been wanting this for a while now. Extremely capable. And I love the history of this Knife. The design was created in the 1600s. And the locking version was developed in the 1700s. Incredible. Can’t wait to get it.

I have gone back and forth so many times on upgrading to the nicer version. But it is pricey and I'm pretty happy with the one I have. If I didn't already have one, I think I'd make the same decision you did. I'm sure you'll love it!

@@BellowsBlades I have them both in both sizes and love the premium aluminum but I don't carry it because they scratch on the aluminum boosters terribly and so I don't scratch my trophy grail knives ,I purchased the G10 scale version first actually and have not had any scratching concerns the black G10 model is very capable as a.large EDC.😊

I EDC my Espada Large, but I also carry a much smaller knife for the sheeple minded , because I don't want to false alarm anyone. 😊

Probably a wise course of action.

That one is more user friendly as the otjer is more premium steel and looks a ton better but its not as desirable to carry because it scratches on the aluminum bolster very easy if you have any thing in your pocket. With the one you have you don't have that worry or concerns. 🎲⚔️🦉🥋🦉⚔️🎲

Yeah, I've heard about the scratching problem. You definitely don't want to spend that kind of money just to end up with it looking bad because of a bunch of scratches.

What I find interesting is the Voyager XL models (Tanto, Drop, Clip, Kris, Recurve, also serrations), have AUS 10 like the Espada large, same blade length, but can be bought for half the price. Same steel and length for half the price. Love the large Espada, but now I love my Tanto and Drop point Voyagers XL.

That may be partly due to the Griv-ex vs g10 handles. That is a large slab of g10. Still, it does seem like a big price disparity.

No.more medium size, now it's just large & extra large Espada 😊

I didn't realize they had officially done away with the medium, but now that you mention it, you don't really see them around any more.

Great video👍🏻 I've always wanted to get the XL version, but the price of that thing😳😳😳 This particular Large version comes in at around €150 here in Europe. I think you got it for way less than that?

Believe it or not, I picked this up in 2016 and paid $68 for it. Times (and prices) sure have changed!
