Cold Steel keeps chugging out big, bad tactical blades a reasonable prices and I love it. One of their latest is the Cold Steel Talwar with its sweeping Persian influence. The larger 5.5" version is the star for this TNP review and, as in the intro, the knife's a shoe in to my HOF Tactical Blade Playlist. Strong, fast, decent steel, excellent handle with grippy G10, this Talwar is a serious blade. Able to shear cut with ease, this version's blade is almost 2 inches in depth. A short use discussion is present in vid; with evil still in this world there is a need for such blades. For more EDC friendly option, go with the smaller 4" Talwar. It's also excellent. The Talwar is also a great knife for lefties as the thumb plate (allowing pocket deployment) and dual clips are provided. Steel is the good-enough AUS8A from CS; tested heavily here and able to take a wicked edge. Centering, lockup, and blade retention are flawless. Value is outstanding when compared to similar options (oh wait, there aren't any at this price except from Cold Steel). Like its Espada, Rajah, Recon 1 XL, and Spartan brothers, the Talwar is another serious blade with serious capabilities that most other companies seem afraid to make.//////////////Buy at: www.cutleryshoppe.com [use code nutnfancy for FREE shipping!]
