Well as a OTR truck driver I bought one of these back in 2014 and the 20 bucks that I paid for it has saved me thousands of dollars over the eight years that I've had it cooked thousands of meals and burned hundreds of cans worth of butane it's seen better days and honestly need to replace it but as old saying goes don't fix what ain't broken

I got the same one. I put a small piece of tape at the top of the handle so I know what side to open it. I’ve had mine for a very long time(6+years). Never let me down. I buy my butane canisters in a 4 pack. There’s a store up there road that sells them for $5.50 for a pack of four. Shop around. Again, I can’t say enough good things about this stove. Mine was $19.00 at Walmart a few years back. I saw them the other day for around $22 bucks. For the big jobs I bring out the Colman double burner white gas stove. Great video brother. Take care.

Thank you for the comment! We've use this one almost every where we go now. I didn't think we would have but, it is just so convenient and handy. Every time we can find deals on the multi pack we jump on that lol. I do the same with the big jobs. Dual burner white fuel. It's old but, it has never let me down. Cheers! And stay safe out there brother.

I have 4-5 different stoves and one like this. I like this one for frying things like eggs and sliced peppers and so on. Butane is tricky as it gets colder. In fall I might (shhh... its butane not my you know what) I might stick the can down my trousers for 5-6 minutes to get those last bits to burn off. After that they go in the "hot as hell summer" storage. Mostly I use the fire or a dual fuel Coleman single burner.

Please advise. Used this for the first time and the stove is covered with the usual mess after making a very greasy meal, fried lots of meat on it and the fat has dripped on the burner too! IS there a easy way to clean this? Perhaps disassemble it to clean it? I tried simple water, soap and rag. Does not seem effective. Also, the aluminum burner seems to have blackened. Is this normal? Or can it be cleaned too? PLEASE ADVISE
@LivingFree365
Жыл бұрын
You might need to use something like "Simple Green" degreaser or "Crude Cutter" from Lowes to break down the grease and fatty acids. If the burner has blackened "bad", then it might be the brand fuel you're using. We use the Coleman brand and haven't had any issues with it yet. You should still be able to clean the aluminum burner with the fore mentioned cleaners too. Sorry for the late response, been out camping. Cheers! Shu

Making coffee, It has made about 8 full pots. Cooking breakfasts, we've made about 4. I will need to run a test to see how long (time-wise) a can would run continuously to get a better idea. It does heat up very fast but, we are also using camping utensils. Not sure about cooking on a cast iron yet. But, so far it's still holding up. It's small enough to fit under a seat with no problem.

Works as promised. I have known many truckers that swore by them. That was proof enough for me. I got one just in case. Works very well, but not in a cold climate. Butane sucks in the cold. Greeting! Did you turn it all the way till it clicks? if so, Check to make sure the fuel can has fuel in it and it is aligned with the tab, and the locking lever is all the way down If so, Take it in a dark room and turn the knob till it clicks again. You should see a spark at the burner if you do, there might be a fuel issue. If you don't there could be an ignition issue. Let me know what you find.
