Great job! My family did a lot of camping in the early 80’s all over the country. We had a tent that had metal poles that you had to attach to one another in order to build the frame of the tent, then attach the fabric. Took about an hour each time. My dad’s the type of guy that gets frustrated easily so every new campsite was a bit of a challenge for the first couple hours. 😂

Been camping for years it is always best to wax the seams and spray the tent. Recently i have been using Rain X on the sides of my tents and rain fly. Remember you can always use a good tarp for a rainfly 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉

Thanks so much for the comment and input Philip! And yeah I agree! It's always best to waterproof the tent, especially for Coleman 😂 Oooh and yeah a tarp will definitely be super useful for these 2 tents with their tiny rainflies 😂

@@CampingGuidance tarps are real useful 😆 you can make angled wind blocks and latrine enclosures. Great all purpose item when i go camping 👌

@@philipjanek3864 Wow I never knew about the latrine enclosures! I've definitely got a lot more research to do on tarps for the future 😆 Thanks so much for the input Philip! 😊

Yep totally okay! 😂 I was just camera-shy and didn't want my face to show up on the video, I think there should have been a note at the beginning of the video explaining that, and multiple times throughout the video too 😃

@@CampingGuidance yes I red it after I wrote the comment 😆.. I thought you believed in that virus , and it was sad to see someone panicked with a mask outdoors . Take care

You should do a video on timber ridge pop up portable tent and put it through high winds and big rain storms! See how it holds up! Big well vented and easy to set up Amazon 339$

Sad that manufacturers think a full fly is unneeded. Such cheap thinking. Planned obsolescence.
@CampingGuidance
Жыл бұрын
@Swoon Drones Haha yeah! Well to be fair sometimes a full fly can cut down on the ventilation for sure, so it's not always needed in summer (during perfect weather), but it's nice to always have the option I guess 😊 Btw did you get my reply on your question on instant dome tents? 😊

Any idea where you would get a replacement sleeve for the Coleman?
@CampingGuidance

Ah sadly not for these tents. They're much harder to repair, though if it's within the 1-year warranty, Coleman should replace the whole tent.

Did you use a seam sealer before doing your rain test?
@CampingGuidance
Жыл бұрын
Hi Bob! 😊 I didn’t use a seam sealant for the rain test, as I usually like to test them out of the box, so folks will know whether they need to waterproof the seams themselves. I hope this helps! If you use sealant and spray, it’ll survive a lot longer 😊
