Cowherd needs to do WAYYY more of this stuff. He’s one of my favorite analysts,broadcasters, sports personalities but he almost exclusively does his own thing. Seeing him appear on someone else’s podcast where he gets interviewed essentially and this laid back is AWESOME!

I say this all the time. Colin is way better when he’s not doing his FS1 show. When he’s free to talk about whatever he wants, he’s very entertaining.

Cowherd gets hate because of some bad hot takes that people see on social media, but I find if you actually watch his show he keeps it interesting and entertaining for 3 hours, with some odd takes sprinkled in. But that's what happens when you run a daily three hour show.

Look, there’s a reason Colin cowherd has been at the top of the radio game for decades. Hate all you want, he’s one of the best for a reason. No one that’s untalented, doesn’t know what they’re doing, etc makes it to the top and STAYS FOR DECADES. You can get lucky a few times, but not for 20 years straight.

In oregon in the early 2000s colin used to ride in on a chopper to our high school football field and other high schools and would do friday night lights. KGW northwest news channel 8 where it all started.

I realized what cowherd's energy is. It's the same energy as your dad giving you advice. And while you don't agree on everything, you gotta admit, when he's right, he tends to nail it. Bill Simmons has kinda become the same way. Like, he had the Luka draft read like a book before everyone else and people were out there looking like he was crazy. And you look back, he friggin nailed it. Colin might take some swings and misses, but when he makes contact it tends to be a home run

Review the 2004 NFC wildcard game between the packers and seahawks at Lambeau Field with a couple lead changes late and the seahawks pushing it into OT and the notorious Matt Hasselback quote during the coin toss " we want the ball and we are going to score " then to have AL Harris get a pick six shortly after was epic. The game had great gameplay , average playoff stakes , star power was there with Brett Favre " the gunslinger " at the helm along with others and Mike Holmgren coaching against his old team at the notorious Lambeau Field. Agreed with a lot of what Colin said, but when he said that "Ya gotta have a 'no' guy" my experience is that really, you have to have a KNOW guy and that is where the wisdom of when to say 'no' has to come from or else it doesn't work.
