This video shows the process of collaging the gel printed circle patterns created in a previous video onto a painting.
Gel printing tips: variation when printing patterns: • Gel printing tips: Var...
Once the patterns have been collaged the painting is glazed to harmonise the colours while retaining the variations in the gel printed patterned tissue papers. At the end of the video I show the completed painting as well as two other paintings in the series.
These paintings are part of my 'collage / decollage / recollage' collection. Where collage papers were added in many layers, and de-collaged (removed) either by ripping back or cutting shapes out to reveal lower layers, then in most cases the papers removed were recollaged back into the paintings.
