I recently bought a Grande Porcelain of Copenhagen made in Denmark, Christmas blue plate (Julen 1975). It looks similar to the Royal Copenhagen Christmas blue plates but it is obviously not. I can not find any information about this company. Is Grande Porcelain another Danish blue plate company in addition to Royal Copenhagen and B and G or is this a knockoff? Thank you.

My aunt left me her large Royal Copenhagen porcelain collection of over 200 pieces. I thought it was too fancy and sort of old fashioned. I thought it was worth maybe $100. I took it all to an auction house for appraisal and their mouths dropped open. It is really desirable and called Flora Danica. They said it would go for over $30,000 because it included many rare service pieces and tureens. It ended up selling for $53,000.

$53,000.⁰⁰ was a bargain, for 200 pieces of Flora Danica, especially when you mention serving pieces.
