I've never heard this song! Where has it been hiding? Love Hymn 24. My late husband was a huge Collective Soul fan. He introduced me to their music Feb 1995. Just wish he was here to hear this one. They never disappoint.

@@samuelmorse784 They don't deserve it because they don't have it. Maybe if they had better music, it would change their lives for the better and then they'd deserve it. The trash that is coming out is poisoning their minds. I don't care much for Taylor, but she's the best they have right now for uniting everyone and introducing sanity. They need leaders to teach them. Good songwriters can be leaders.

One of the best ED E ROLAND songs from 1991 covered. Ross simply shreds this song! Over Tokyo is the other. Like to see that played live as well.

Yes, it was originally part of a 9 track demo that Ed Eugene Roland and the Ed-E band (Ed, Shane Evans, Matt Serletic, Michelle Rhea, Caplinger) shopped around NYC, Nashville, and LA to try to get a record deal. Ed also used these demos and "Hints" demos to try to get a songwriting deal. The release date reads 1991, but Ed was working on these songs and the 'Hints" songs since the late 1980s. In 1995, Collective Soul's first manager reissued the album to try to make more money. The "Ed-E Roland" album also includes "Over Tokyo." You should check it out on KZitem! Collective Soul played "Hymn 24" regularly in concerts from 1994 - 1996 (or 1997 when Disciplined Breakdown came out).
