@@RoRo-gm7ee Same with me actually. Same stop date as well (well ok last one was about 12:45 am on Jan 1st 2023) :) I have committed to 30 min a day of alcohol education (mostly KZitem) and 30 minutes a day on self development and goals . I also added dally exercise Mon through Friday. I re commit my decision each day and do positive affirmations. A week and a day later I still feel like my decision is different and permanent. The daily reinforcement and focus on growth has me excited about each day Also I downloaded and contribute to an app called "sober time" it is so far a great community. I know this decision is is different (all in) because I have a cruise and an all inclusive already booked for this year and My brain is excited to do them sober (I am squashing former associations in my brain and imagining myself with a sober clear mind, enjoying conversations food and everything way more. The trick is going to be keeping my self "all in" every day and studying each day. It is my number one priority and full plan on walking up 365 days a year to learn (reprogram) my mind. even replying to your post with my plan is a part of my reprograming a brain with a simple addiction. I need to make sure all 365 days are reprogramed... I may keep at it till I have reprogramed each day multiple times . It is actually enjoyable and making new plans for the future is adding more motivation than I have had in years. You already did over a 100 days and I have done over a decade sober so this real is 100% easy to do if we just keep reprograming in the truth to our brains. Reprogram each day of the year. (even new years :) One last thing is that I really made this about me and what I want out of my life. Like I want an apartment in Dubai or Miami with a view like Leon. I want to really love people and learn to meditate my mind into really seeing them when we communicate. I want to meditate myself into a buzz of the awesomeness around me. Learn to let go of the stresses and focus on each moment. We have 9 days of this year down and I pray you and I can both continue to have our minds have only plans for sober clear days forever. No more stupid dopamine hits just from thinking about it. No more thinking I am missing out, or getting excited about one more in the future. Just a constant happy killing of the little monster named addiction. If you have not already, get the audio book from Allen Carr called "the Easy way to control alcohol" It was a game changer for even Leon. So is Leons ruthless daily education of the truths of alcohol. Leon is a total Jedi now and will remain that way as long as he keeps his skills sharp each day. Just like staying in shape

This was awesome to listen to. I just turned 62 and if I closed my eyes and heard him talk I would swear it was me. I quit for a month and a half and for whatever reason I went back to it and now I’m more committed than ever. It is amazing the changes that you go through and how forgiving the body can be. Thank you very much for posting this

It's easy if your not addicted. I quit without any programs because I'm not mentally or physically addicted to alcohol. I simply liked to drink. I quit because I found myself making it a habit to drink. No substance should command your life like that.

Great video, inspiring. I’m on 11 days without a drink. Already see enough improvements to inspire me to keep going. I work in London quite a bit, nervous of peer pressure but Im confident at this point to stay strong… one day at a time!

In my case, the final decision for pure sobriety started off with a very large bottle of vodka and a 5 day hangover. I chose to go out with a bang. It didn't kill me so I grew stronger. After more than 25 years of drinking and losing my whole family to alcohol, this is my first year that I can truly admit that I haven't had a drink all year.

Something about 60 😅😂 me too. Only on day 6 but Im not looking back. Yay for us. I went for five months in ‘22 but with the idea that I was just taking a break…I know too much now and have no desire to go back to it. I know there’s adjustments, and I’m not sleeping great but that will pass. No one said it was going to be easy, but it’s certainly worthwhile.

There is pressure in society and media to have alcohol and weed. I started both in college and everywhere I went I felt amongst because I did both, but I didn't know the damage it was doing to me physically, mentally and spiritually. 13 years later and I am definitely not the person I wanted to become. Recently been trying to quit both and porn and try to turn my life around. Still 33 and a lot of years left to live.

This is awesome to hear! I've struggled to quite for a while but eventually got to a point where I committed to myself to just do it. Once I weighed the pros and cons, it was a no brainer. I'll be 40 next April and I've been sober for a little over a week and have no intention of ever going back. The benefits from even just a week are astounding! The trick is YOU have to want to stop drinking for yourself, not anyone else. If you do it for others then you will always want to go back to it. If you have a conviction to stop doing something for yourself, then it will happen. Thanks for this video share!

A lot of useless sex for me. I drank before every sexual encounter I slept with a lot of women both familiar and strange. Sometimes by stick wouldn’t work, other times I would go so long and never climax. I developed sleep apnea from all the drinking and tobacco, random chest pains, mornings while still in bed I vowed that I wouldn’t smoke again then I’d wake up and immediately grab the tail of a cigar 💨. I am 33 days sober today.

I quit cold turkey in 2008. The most surprising thing is it don't miss it and am not tempted by it at all...years ago when I was drinking my biggest fear was not being able to drink but I'm glad I finally reached that point in my life when I decided I was over it...luckily I never hit rock bottom..it was just a thing I wanted to so.
