Hi everyone! This is a long lesson, but I hope you all enjoy it! Let me know if you have any questions. I misspoke at around 6:16 when discussing Lynch syndrome - it is autosomal dominant, but it doesn't necessarily mean that one of your 1st degree relatives (parents) had to have CRC, they could have had another type of cancer (ex. endometrial, ovarian, etc.). Want to clarify that here :) JJ

Hi JJ, I would like to receive all information about colon cancer. In March 2022 I had 12 pre cancerous polyps removed. I also have lots of diverticula on the left side of my colon along with diverticulosis. I had colitis years ago lost 40 lbs but nothing said about colitis in March. I am 66 and my mother died from colorectal cancer at 68. I also had severe endometriosis with uterus attached to colon at 27. I also have a partial blockage on the left side of colon, having constipating and diarrhea. Would love any and all input on my condition. Thank you so much for your videos and information. Stay well and blessings, Kathy Patton

My mom got cancer the first time when I was 15, (breast). She did chemo and beat it. 13 years later while on vacation in Europe she discovered that she had colon cancer. That was in 2018 and it has now come back for the 3rd time and metastasized in her liver, lung and brain. My sweet poor mother has deteriorated rapidly in the last month so much so that she has lost eye sight, mobility and confusion. It’s heartbreaking and I wish it was me.

A year ago February,2021, I fainted in a retail store. The paramedics were called and I was transported to hospital. A weeks stay I was diagnosed with a sigmoid colon tumor. Surgeon said tumor too close to rectum exit to operate. I’m a 68 year old white male, with no insurance. I’m really struggling these days. I’m unable to do a regular bowel movement and within last two weeks, I’m unable to urinate either. I m able to pass urine by hand massaging my lower stomach. I also have a steady drip of urine, but I have no control to stop the dripping. Stool leaks out with no self control. Stool is always very watery. I think tumor is blocking flow. Is there any suggestion ‘advice that I might do? I thank you for reading my note and considering a reply. Thank You, Chris

Hello everyone. I'm a veteran/fire fighter and I eat very healthy, lift weights and run on the regular. 2 weeks ago I woke up in the morning and I could not poop. Then the stool finally started coming out but they look like ribbons. Like a gift wrapper ribbon. Constipation and ribbon-like stools. Opened Google on my phone and Ended up going to the ER where they did blood tests, rectal digital examination, and CT-scan with dye. THEY FOUND NOTHING, and the doctor even pointed out I did not even have stools backed up, with the radiologist saying not a spec inside my body and bowels looked out of the ordinary. Its been 8 days since that, and now I'm also seeing white mucus (no blood) on my stools, with 2-3 small ribbon BM a day, with two small soft lumps on the outside of my anal cavity that inflate when I push (Hemorrhoids, I'm guessing?) PLEASE HELP. I am worried sick and cannot sleep at night with the urge to poop and anxiety. please someone. I normally do not worry about stuff like this but I've been down the Reddit rabbit hole many a night and I just cannot seem to know what is happening. Gastroenterologist appointment is in a whole 15 days from now, and I am worried my condition will deteriorate.

One case where someone got the fit test and it showed positive for polyp so then colonoscopy which proved negative for polyp. The insurance company wouldn't cover the colonoscopy because the fit test had false positive. Also previous colonoscopy and so the fit test isn't recommended.

I love these videos but can you put the symptoms first? Because, if we have no symptoms then the rest of the video is useless. Unless we are medical professionals. So this helps me understand the progression of the disease. And if I was diagnosed with cancer it would be great. But I think that probably if you put the symptoms first you would get more views. Also, if it's stage 4 cancer then it isn't treated. What is the life span of the people who have this? Also what is adjuvant therapy? I don't understand that at all. I'm a nurse and have no idea what that means. I feel like we went full force in this video and then stopped. Full stop. Maybe go ahead and make the video longer if it is this in depth in the beginning. Now I know a lot but want to know more. Is there a part 2 maybe?
