Fun fact about the vintage carriages for the Colonial Express is that they were displayed alongside one of the E classes, E236 at Spencer Street during the VR celebrations. Also the 2 D3s and the K are used as spare parts if I recall correctly, could be wrong tho. Also nice you caught the Y class and N types at Southerns Cross! I visited the station this year and I couldn’t find any trace of them! And that flattop T class, T333, was involved in a runway in the 60s. Taitset has a really good video on this subject!

Correction; only K157 is a spare doner. The D3s are here so one could be up for future restoration

Nice video mate. The VGR is a railway I would really like to get up too. Especially seeing as the J class will be returning to service shortly.

With 236 & 369 at the museum 371s the only one that could possibly be returned to running. Only problem is the condition of the Boiler, Bearings, Tires that would add to the restoration cost..
