the power was much more colorful back in the '90s, being a joint line railfan in the late 2000s-late 2000teens is pretty boring tbh

Oh man. The good ol’ days. Variety and multiple roads. How did they get gone so quick. Class I railfanning is so boring and monotonous now.

I'm so used to hearing the SP horns being "peeled" per honk let-off. Hearing them on the GE AC's sounds like the horn got cut short :3

At 3:00 lead engine SP 213 had ditch lights that wig wag (alternate ) was this common in certain engines? The other engines look new and clean.

I believe SP did have this feature CSX and NS do today. SP on the SD45 had the Mars Light that Flashed even when the horn wasn't blown

It seems like the cabooses weren’t being used much at the time

None. The Staggers Rail Act of 1980 is a United States federal law that deregulated the American railroad industry, one of the changes included Cabooses. They were used on every freight train in the USA until the mid-late 1980s.

Amazes me how many old clips Ive found on here where the train doesn't blow its horn at the crossing. They wouldn't get away with that BS today.

1996 is when they started building new cars from the railroad to have more storage capacity to travel
