Painting brass stampings with InkaGold by Viva Decor metallic paints and Mica Powders....making your own unique paints with Brenda Sue Lansdowne of B'sue Boutiques. A creative pal told us how great the Viva Decor metallic InkaGold paints were on raw brass stampings, especially if you mixed some mica pigment powders into the Old Gold and Old Silver colors. SO, I tried it! All an experiment, this product is as new to me as it may be to you, but wow, I'm loving the result. Such lovely shimmering pastels, and the InkaGold product is non-toxic. It reminds me of a cross between Gilder's Paste and Lumiere paints. The difference is that InkaGold is sort of like thick, whipped paint. You can thin it with water, but Gilder's must be thinned with mineral spirits! The look is similar only smoother, and it dries very, very fast. Seal with Krylon matte spray lacquer or similar sealant. Two light coats are good. We are stocking the InkaGold Old Gold and Old Silver at www.bsueboutiqu...; we also have lots of other great mixed media products like Ice Resin, Diamond Glaze, Lumiere Paints, Gilder's Paste.....and more! AND all the most beautiful rich low brass at great prices you can imagine. Come and join us at the B'sue Boutiques Creative Group / bsueboutiquescreativeg... #BSue_Boutiques
