There isn't a clear that will be able to spray over any chrome. It's the nature of what chrome is that makes any clear dull it out. At least a true chrome and not just a silver.

I hear ya. Honestly it's best, and ok, to just leave chrome without a clear coat. You just can't touch it much. The best results I got were with Future floor wax and with Minwax Polycrylic. I made a video on the polycrylic - kzitem.info/news/bejne/sKGtv6t6aalzmI4

@@Toppervision1. I've had no real issues with handling any chrome with the ones I use. But who really handles their parts a lot? I try to say any chrome painting until the end just so I don't have to handle them. I never found that a clear coat should even be used as it would give an apperance not very realistic anyway. Real chrome isn't clear coated. I'll check out your videos too.

@@Bob0sModelFabWorx Exactly. We don't really handle these often. Btw, I have found that during building, if you have to hold a chrome part, put a baggie over your hand. I have had even cotton gloves leave marks. You know, if you're holding the part to work on it for a long time. But nothing ever happens with the baggie. :)
