Thank You Ruby, this was a very enjoyable zoo. It's always nice when your home zoo ads new habitats or makes updates.

I went to Purdue University on the other side of the Wabash River in 1980-84. The community decided around 1984 that it did not like the "very bad" old zoo and leveled the place. They have been slowly building it back up since them. Nice to see several new exhibits since my last trip. I got a behind-the-scenes tour through a friend who worked there. The staff and volunteers are fantastic. Kudos to their hard work under "less than ideal" conditions ast times. I got the meet the singing dogs. They are a brother and sister. Incredibly loving and playful. I wanted to take the home with me. :) The prairie dogs may have been gone. They were down to one that they knew was still alive when I visited and were planning a new community. That was years ago. I hope you make it back occasionally. They at least had big plans, and i would like to see what happens.

I very much enjoyed my time at the Columbus Zoo. It's great to hear from someone that has seen all the positive changes. That behind the scenes tour sounded fantastic. I would of loved playing with those dogs too 😁 Perhaps I'll return for a visit someday. Thank You for this awesome comment.

I have never heard of the New Guinea Singing Dog before, so thank you for the tour of this small gem. You just never know what new animal awaits you in the next zoo, no matter what its size. I am glad to see the Singing Dog is not extinct as previously thought, but it does seem to suffer from inbreeding sing there are not very many at all in the world. I do hope more zoos or conservation centers will work to keep them thriving to a good number. Wishing you seasonal joys and blessings. :)

This was my 1st time seeing them, it was a nice surprise. For a small community zoo they have a nice selection of animals.

Just wondering, will the Potawatomi zoo and Fort Wayne children’s zoo be out in early 2021?

Yes, both will be available the first and second week in January 2021. Not sure if the Fort Wayne will be a 2 part or not.

It's very nice tosee small zoo like this. With covid around, the zoos take a very hard punch :/, i can't imagine how hard it have been for them, and that's big zoos. But for small zoos like this, free and just living out of donations, it must have been even harder :/ It feel very nice to see small zoos surviving and even growing. I hope this zoo will grow nice and sweet. Not a big zoo, but still a sweet zoo with maybe 30-40 kind of animals. The fact it's free is very nice. I can imagine the kids asking their parents every years for go to the zoo. And they can bring them here during free time. Botanical zone seems very packed :O, it must be definitly beautyful on summer. Theses singing dogs look a bit like the Dingo. But i never seen this kind of dogs before, that's very unique species :O, i very love the fact they have a big white stain just behind their head XD The little goats are always cute and fun to watch. Some have very nice pattern colors. That poor girl was trapped by the goat hahaha XD 15:47 okay.. i admit.. i m impress. Not that i cant do that myself .. hm hm XD... But honestly, just hanging like this with the tail.. that's crazy :O. there should be some serious muscles in that tail, that's really incredible. I know some monkey can hang themself with the tail, but i never seen that. usually they hang with the tail but also have 1 hand. But just straigth up with only the tail.. damn.. that's crazy :O Thank you for this video :D, that was a nice visit or a nice zoo. A proof that it's not a matter of size for zoos. But the content, the design and the whole concept is also essential part of a zoo. And i m 100% sure a small zoo with only farm animals like chickens, cow, goats, pigs and others farm animals only will have good success. Specially with the fact theses are animals that you can get close and actually touch. I wish i could start my own zoo :D

This zoo was quite a surprise, with such a small footprint they have a lot going on. The constitution projects I mentioned in my vid will add so much more to this zoo. The New Guinea Singing Dogs were so cute, I loved that they came right up to the glass to see me. I'm a real sucker for a Happy Wagging Tail 😊 I would come in handy to have a tail you could hang from. Thank You for your comment, I really enjoyed it. Have a safe and Happy Christmas and New Year.
