This is the latest version of my antweight combat robot "Cheesecake". The assembly is basically a sandwich of white TPU and ABS between two plates of 1/16" carbon fiber, held together with standoffs and M3 screws.
Upgrades from V2 include:
- Thicker arms holding the weapon motor.
- A custom washer to prevent the weapon from popping off the motor.
- The wheel wells are conjoined in the back for strength.
The drive motors are 33:1 Fingertech SilverSpark motors. The weapon motor is an 1800 KV brushless motor. The battery is a 3S (11.1V) 350 mAh LiPo, giving me a drive speed of 78 inches/second (2 meters per second), a weapon tip speed of 312 miles per hour (140 meters per second), and a kinetic energy of 145 joules. The wheels are 3D printed TPU with rubber band tires and are 3 inches (7.5cm) in diameter.
The white TPU weapon adapter allows the weapon to slip slightly when it hits something, protecting the motor from shock.
