sad part is you will never see commercials like this where all stars for the network come together for the common cause. miss those network specials of the 80's too.

Jackee can really sing, her higher notes sound pretty good. And Phylicia sings great here too, I like her voice.

I miss the old NBC. 227, Golden Girls on Saturday Nights. The Cosby Show on Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. NBC needs more quality programming.

I miss growing up the 80's and 90's. What is going on with NBC? When they took off the Cosby Show, A Different World, Cheers, Friends, etc.... The whole station went downhill.

Oh my God! Back in the 70's she was heard on the phonograph record and her voice is the one singing here. My heart just raced and pounded with passion just hearing this. That's what would exactly happen if she were within range of me. I just love her to death!

They should've used Tisha Campbell to represent Rags to Riches in these promos. She would've been perfect with her talent. Maybe the show would've lasted longer.

It's weird to think that I was probably just barely one-year-old when this promo came out, and yet I know most of the characters/actors shown here because I watch some of these shows now. How many shows that air now will also be watched by my kids? It's not looking so good, lol.

@StoneCold75 Michael J Fox had a show on NBC called "Family Ties" It was a hit show on NBC and ran from 1982-1989. That's why he was in this NBC promo, because he was a star on that hit NBC show. The only reason he got the role in Back to the Future was because of the show.

J Williams I think I figured it out. The two dancing are Michael Talbott (Det. Stan Switek, "Miami Vice") and Jill Eikenberry (Ann Kelsey, "LA Law"). That's Olivia Brown (Det. Trudy Joplin, "Miami Vice") behind the chair. Ed Begley Jr (Dr. Victor Ehrlich, "St Elsewhere") is sitting in the chair, and that's Stephen Furst (Dr. Eliot Axelrod, "St. Elsewhere") under the table. I think that's right. :-)

Amber Haynes Wow thanks. I didn't watch those dramas back then. So I assumed they were all from some short lived sitcom the way they were portrayed. Plus I didn't think they would mix so many people from different shows in one scene like that! NBC really emphasized themselves as one big family back then.
