For vertical jigging, you would be shocked at how much more you see with Garmin Livescope or Humminbird MegaLive...it's a game changer for vertical jigging deep clear water lakes.

Hey Mike great episode. That lake is the closest musky lake I have access to in my area. Options are scant around here. Anyways, the lake in this episode receives extreme fishing and recreational pressure. It also has heavy residential development, which creates other issues. That being said, the lake has great water volume and bait. The DNR uses it as a brood stock lake, or at least they used to. The strain is from Leech Lake. Part of me was excited to see this episode, but the other part of me was pretty annoyed since the location wasn't disguised. You showed the lot, the launch, and other features. Pretty f'ing loose. You have the luxury to travel all over to musky fish. Others like myself don't. This episode will only bring more attention to the lake, making things more difficult for locals who don't have the same options you do. I love your content and have been following you since day one, but you're not immune to criticism. I hope you read this and make more of an effort in the future to disguise locations. Protect the resource, especially lakes like this. If that means your "production value" isn't as good, so be it. This lake is an oasis, and you totally put it out there for everyone to see.

We did not say the location of this lake in this episode, and the only people that will know where this lake is…. are people that have fished it which means they already know about this body of water. We appreciate the support and the suggestion.

I have never been to this lake, therefore do not recognize it. I would think that to be the case with most who haven't been there. I've flat out told numbers of people about some of the "good" lakes that I fish to find out down the road those people never even gave those lakes a try... Lol. Wouldn't worry too much.

This lake isn't secret. The DNR has been stocking Great Lakes strain musky in it for years. If its "highly pressured" than it only proves its not a secret. This lake is far from a fishing oasis. And you say this is the only lake by you? You should look just to the south and you'll find another lake that is less pressured and stocked with green backs. Keyes outdoors provides entertainment and knowledge for everyone. You have an extremely high level of entitlement if you think you can tell him how or what to film.

when night fishing, do you have a light on all the time, only the rear marker safety light, or do you only turn lights on after the hookup? i really want to night fish more this coming season, and have the head lamp, spot light for driving ect.

Shawn rigged up a very special light systems for us, but I do know they don't have the lights on all the time. It's too distracting for them and for the fish.
