This wonderful Thanksgiving Hymn of Praise is one of my favorites. Several subscribers asked (a while ago) for me to re-record this hymn using the Hereford Sample Set, showcasing the Reeds. Here is that recording.
The piece starts with some softer Solo Reeds sounding, followed by more Reeds being added throughout the verse. For the second stanza the Solo Tuba stop is added completing all 8' Solo Reeds sounding.
Then, on the third stanza the Tuba stop is turned off while adding in Diapasions, Principles, and Flutes stops for an ever-broadening mixture. As the piece transitions to the fourth verse, the Tuba stop is added. Finally, on the fifth stanza all remaining Couplers and Reeds throughout the organ (16' too) are activated, thereby producing a truly full organ (or Tutti) effect, and played an octave higher with so many 16' pipe inclusions. As the piece closes, at least 2,400 concurrent pipes are sounding.
This is my first recording using practically all 67 stops, including the Double Trumpet 16' (except Tremelos, Chimes, and a few too-quiet-to-hear stops). My hope is you will enjoy it! Thank you, Phil
