The man in this video was my grandfather, Michel Rosenberg. Thank you so much for posting this video, and thanks to everyone who has left such nice comments. He was a funny, talented man and a wonderful grandfather!

I've seen this video fifty times and it still me laugh - a lot. My friend's parents had a stack of old records, among them "Getzel Goes to a Football Game." Also hilarious.

A true gem, genius on so many levels. And the comedy dancer Menashe Goodman also, incredible talent. I would love to witness these Yiddishkeit comedy routines nowadays.

The comedian was Michla Rosenberg, a well known Yiddish comedian. He used this character in other settings as well. The "Hu Eloheinu" he sang is a cantorial piece by Oscar Julius, well know choir leader in the 1920's-1950's(?). Moishe Oysher sang it with great success.

it takes a special talent to mix yiddish & english without thought & without missing a beat-he mixes Hungarian sayings with an Austrian Yiddish Dialect. btw-solid voice.

Didn't say it was a Hungarian dialect, only that he used Hungarian sayings & humor. I know it wasn't a Hungarian yiddish as he Ooo & A, where Hungarians would use E & Ay. Either way great routine & had a good voice.
