This is probably one of my favorite videos to date! I was late to the party and missed out on "affordable" copies of WWBN 32; however, this one came up for sale and I saw a lot of room for improvement. It was evident that the comic was very dirty and had never been pressed. There was also a lot of visible bends and other defects. This became even more evident when we extracted the comic from the slab. In the video, I walk through my thought process for purchasing this book. Then we endeavor to crack, clean, and press the book. Since there were a lot of deep bends, it required two rounds of pressing as well as the "hot shots" method using the tack iron and steel ball bearing to massage the paper back to its original state. Overall, it is one of the greatest improvements I have facilitated and I look forward to a substantial grade bump. Now off to signing and then grading!
