Gee, your voice has changed. Thanks a lot for the tips. I've been watching most of your videos, and I wanted to thank you for sharing it.Watching your sincere and authentic thoughts and experiences has been very helpful to me, and still is. I can see you are very happy with transitioning and I am very happy for you (and a bit envious too). I wish you the best.

Hi! I love your videos and how much you articulate about what you are doing and how you are feeling and thinking at each point of the journey. Thanks so much for sharing.

Your mum sounds pretty cool! Her reactions are cute! Tho saying that probably minimises how sucky certain reactions can be at the time... She sounds like she really tries to understand :). Gosh - I've been focusing so much on the gradual coming out to my husband I'd forgot about the parents! Awesome tips tho - definitely going to keep them in mind :)

Might I also highly recommend getting in touch with your local PFLAG affiliate. I wasn't aware they existed and my mom reached out to them. It was very helpful for her. My parents, two years after coming out and and already post-op, still get the name and pronouns incorrect at times. My aunt and uncle, who rarely see me in person, foul it up all the time. "Patience" is the one word I use to describe what you need to make it through transition. Patience when it comes to others accepting you. Patience when it comes to them getting name and pronouns correct. Patience to that first appointment at the therapist. Patience to get that first appointment to get hormones. Patience until you notice any changes. Patience to get M2F or F2M surgery. It can take years. If you're not patient, it can eat you up. It'll happen, but it'll happen slowly.
