xXPaulinaPenguinXx Eric Gonzalez I know. Same with me. I am glad some parents are so accepting. People are born that way. I feel bad for anyone who's parents would not accept it. Love is Love. I feel bad for people who had to go through hiding it. In today's culture it is definitely accepted more than this time. But from what I have seen through highschool so far, knowing how those kids get treated differently because of their sexuality is bullshit. I like women. I am not going to treat a woman differently if she does too. I am not going to treat a guy differently if he doesn't like women. I wouldn't treat someone any different if they were bisexual. I wouldn't treat you differently if you were transgender. I just hope it is what makes people happy. What is sad is people hide it. I am a Christian. People quote both the old and new testament. The fact of the matter is the new testament teaches to love all and forgive. Jesus Forgives. Jesus loves everyone regardless of sexuality. To say otherwise is absolutely insane. The mother seems to share the same views as me. I wouldn't treat you differently. If it says in the old testament sodomy is wrong. The new testament never says that. Jesus loves all so let's all do the same.

I think your parents should take a little look at this video and learn to be more accepting. I’m sorry honey… you never deserve to feel like you can’t be yourself.. like mama said “if they’re your real friends, they won’t care.” Same goes with family members, if they truly love you and care for you, they shouldn’t care and should eventually come around.. but unfortunately, some people care more about their “beliefs” than their blood.

This video really touched me and it made me cry because of the mom's beautiful reaction. I thought about that if it had been my son doing this, that that's how I would be too. I think that he apologized, not because he likes men, but because he knew probably as a mother she had dreams of him getting married to a woman and having his own children one day, and didn't want to have to take her dreams away from her.

Hi Matt, I'm a 40 years old mother of 2 beautiful girls. And I'm Muslim, from Moroccan origins, born in France, a French citizen. Why am I saying that and what's the point of my comment? Just to let you know, even if my religion sees you and all the LGBTQ+ as sinners, to me, you are human before anything. And you're just in love with people of the same sex... If one day, one of my daughters would come to me and say: "Mum, I'm lesbian", it won't be the end of the world... She will remain my baby daughter I love and always will, she won't be an other person, she will be herself... Of course, it will be very weird, I don't know how I will feel when I will meet for the 1st time her girlfriend, but I will always be open minded to who she is, and won't judge her or her girlfriend... I'm so sad when I hear stories about parents who throw away their kids because they are gay, because being gay is not a choice, it is only about one heart in love of an other one... I'm so touched by the love and the open mind of your parents, and I hope you will share many good memories with your parents! Respect guys! I wish you all the best, please don't change anything! Much love and hugs from France... 😘😘😘

Samira ACHAACH Thank you for your comment!! You know, not everyone will tell you this, but it’s totally fair for it to be weird for you. You can be completely accepting of a gay child, but it is still something to deal with as a parent! Everyone has certain expectations of how life will turn out: go to school, get a job, find a spouse, have a family... something like that. Just as a gay kid has to slowly accept that they are gay and their life will be different from that expectation, so does the parent! You also have a lifetime of assuming your child will follow the most common path, and even if you see the alternative as every bit as equivalent, it’s still a change in expectations! And it’s OK for that to be weird for a while! But it will eventually feel totally normal. I don’t know how old your kids are, but consider letting them know that if they were LGBT, you’d love and accept and support them unconditionally. At best, it makes a really difficult time a LOT easier. And at “worst” and they’re straight after all, you’ve taught a bit of tolerance. :)

It has been 4 years and I am still crying while watching this video... I am happy for the both of you...Wish to have a mom or parents whom are supportive like your mom... I guess not all are blessed to have one because mine are busy on their everyday quarrel...My dad always cheats and my mom always cries and i should always be there to comfort her...Their hearts are full of anger, disappointments, disgust, and regrets. I knew they only lived together until now because of us their children. Because of that, I haven't come out yet and doesn't have a plan anymore because I think there is no space already in the hearts of my parents for me to be accepted, understand, and love for who I am and what I love... That is why sometimes I acknowledge myself as a bad person because I am not deserved to be heard because no one will listen...Still, I am happy for all who already have their freedom...Ya'll deserve that...live life to the fullest❤️❤️❤️
