Commander Ag-Quip worked closely with the client, discussing their needs and expectations to design the most effective stockyards and shearing shed facility.

Lal Lal Estate approached our team of designers to design, manufacture, install, and project manage a large sheep handling, and shearing shed facility.
Key points to make priority were:
- Safer operation for staff, stock and dogs
- Efficient and easy stock movement
- Ideal design, decreasing stress on staff and animals
- Efficient movement between yards and shearing shed, including wool handling and storage
- Raised jarrah wool floor and board to reduce wool handler fatigue.
- Hot dipped galvanised for longevity.
Some of the key features in the shearing shed fit out are:
- 6 stand curve board
- Slide swing and guillotine gates
- Sloped Jarrah slat catching pens for easy dragging out
- Plastic tile holding areas, reducing light, bulking and noise
- Raised jarrah wool floor and board to reduce wool handler fatigue.
- Recessed chutes for easy release
- Front fill catching pens for efficient filling
Sheep yard features include:
- Undercover working areas with a capacity of 700 sheep for dry holding
- Provision for auto drafter and weighing systems
- Electric winch loading ramp
- Footbath area on the rear of yards
- Tumble swing and guillotine gates in drench race
- Access gates with dog flaps
