OOPS! There's a big mistake at 4:40! The ending for er/ir usted is A --> beba. I guess I'll ask my students to see if they spot the error...

Yeah, thanks so much. I thought it was weird because other sources said every ending other than Tu switches but she was saying E for both usted forms. Shame on her! 😝

I almost had a crisis, until I realized that the teacher is actually wrong. The Usted form of beber is BEBA... I can't believe you haven't pulled this video or put a disclaimer. It really undermines your training program.

4:40 Great catch, but you're both half correct. ER verbs ends in A, and IR verbs end in E. 😆

Nice presentation except for two mistakes. People below caught the Beba error. But isn't the chart at 7:10 in error? I think plural Indirect object pronouns are nos, les and les. and the plural direct object pronouns are nos, los/las and los/las. ???

From what I can see, the negative tú imperative is the same as the tú form of the present subjunctive of the verb except that it is preceded by a negative word instead of by “que.” Affirmative and negative usted and ustedes are the same as their present subjunctive forms no matter what. I think the idea of those is based on the facts that subjunctive does not generally mean reality and sometimes saying that you ask someone to do something is more polite than the exact imperative is. Usted and ustedes are the more formal terms that mean “you” as singular and plural respectively. When telling someone not to do something in any case, that means you’re telling someone not to make or to stop making the action a reality.

in the last example why did the le turn into se?
@marijamiljak7420
3 ай бұрын
because in spanish there can never be LE and LO together. Like for example compralelo… doesn’t exist. the LE has to change to SE. Other example would be like “ ask him “, by logic it would be preguntalelo, but because it doesn’t exist, it will change to pregúntaselo

Hello, unfortunatelly I'm stuck and I don't understand how to build this. It's a lot of endings and rules...is some easy tip how to remember it?
@amosdraak3536
3 ай бұрын
Yes. The endings always switch (AR becomes ER/IR & vice versa) except for Tu. So look at Hablar Present tense- Imperative Hablo. N/A Hablas. Habla, no hables Habla. Hable Hablamos. Hablemos Hablan Hablen You just pretend the verb ending switched with the other one except for Tu. And you made sure to memorize the few irregular ones. ☺️ Does that help?

How come "let's go" is vamos and not vemos if AR verbs become -emos whem imperative? Is it because the infinitive is ir and it loves being irregular 😂
