I'm in a completely different line of work, but it's stressful. every morning I wake up, and tell myself that I'm going to work hard, and do the very best that I can, and if something doesn't get completed I'll work on it the next day, because if we're not careful work stress can easily affect our personal lives. I have also learned not to base my self worth on how well I perform at my job, and at the end of the day we are mothers, and there is no hardest working woman of the year award.

You’re absolutely right about all of this. It’s so easy to get caught up in the stress of work and if you’re not careful you’ll have bad dreams, a bad attitude and it’ll affect your health. None of it is worth it. Thank you for watching 🫶🏼❤️

Thank you for another video! Unrelated question but do you have any resources like books etc that you would recommend to help new adjusters with interior and exterior material identification? Watching HGTV and youtube videos help a lot but what helped you with your construction knowledge and material identification when you were just starting out?

You’re so welcome and thank you for watching! You’re doing great with the KZitem and HGTV, those helped me starting out. Two additional things I’d recommend is 1. Go to a Home Depot, Lowe’s etc and walk through the aisles (flooring, cabinets, etc). Doing this can help you recognize engineered flooring vs laminate flooring because you’re able to see and feel it in person. 2. Try to inspect your claims with the professionals so you can ask questions. I like to go out with the mitigation vendors so they can explain to me why something won’t dry or what needs to be removed and why. Going out with the contractors can help you understand how the building process works. As an adjuster we typically learn surface level information but going out with contractors can help you build your estimates because you have a real life example of the work it takes to put something back together. I hope that helps ❤️🫶🏼

I am thinkingnin pursuing an adjuster carreer and these videos have great information! Thank you! I was wondering though, how often do you have to work in weekends. How does that work for you?
