Something I found it helps us to learn just a few bollards or just a few license plates. Get them down really well, and then play the game. This way even if you look at the bollard and get it wrong, you will be learning. The reason it’s important to learn a few first is because it reminds you to look and pay attention to them while you’re playing the game

Funfact: the “hats “ on the austrian bollards are snow poles. At the start of the winter the local governmant drives trough the streets and pulls the snow poles out of the bollards

In the Netherlands an Belgium, inside of villages you will often see these (used to be wood, now mostly recycled plastic) poles, with sort of a pyramid on top and 2 reflectors going all around the pole. You dont really see these outside of those two countries.

In Sweden there will be two white dots on the left side, and a white rectangle on the right side. The only exception is the reflector can be orange, on the bollard before and after an exiting road or parking space.

Very good and informative video. Still, living in Austria, I want to add something. The „hat“ is actually the tip of an extendable snow pole and is not included in all Austrian bollards. The others look just like the ones in gormer Yugoslavia. Although it has to be mentioned that I‘m not capable of telling you if the type with the poles possibly exists there as well.

Russia has many different bollards but generally, Hungarian ones will have a slanted top while Russian ones will have a straight one. If you wanna practice bollards, I'd suggest trying my map "Attractive bollards of the Universe" :)
