Dr. Aria Fallah describes the issues that commonly go wrong before and after a Chiari decompression surgery. For instance, some symptoms are less likely to improve following surgery, and other problems such as symptom recurrence can happen, as well. Dr. Fallah describes the ways that neurosurgeons and families can work together to try and limit these pitfalls from happening and gives an overall amazing lecture on how patients and their families can avoid these problems altogether.
This lecture was given at the August CSF Chapter meeting held at the University of California Los Angeles children's hospital. (2018)
