In this video, Director of Speech and Language Pathology at MeBe, Nikki Rosner, shares one of her favorite toys to use during speech therapy as a communication temptation.
Sometimes, kiddos who struggle using language are also struggling understanding language. Repetition is really important for kiddos who need help understanding language, and this toy offers a lot of repetition.
This toy perfectly disguises where the power button is, which as a parent or caregiver, gives you control for how or when this toy is used. Once the toy is on, it's play time. Allow this time to be fun for your kiddos, and less of a quiz. When the toy is off, you can use this as an opportunity to ask simple one-step questions like “go get the ball”. As always, make sure to have FUN.
You can find this toy online at www.amazon.com...
