Hey Guys,
In today's video I'm presenting You a 1967 Volga GAZ M21, which, alongside the '57 Plymouth Savoy & Opel Olympia Rekord belongs to my dear friend, Balázs Ackermann.
The story of the GAZ M21 'Volga' started in 1953, when the Soviet leaders issues the production of a new, modern car, that would replace the aging line of Pobiedas. After years of planning, the new Volgas were introdiced in 1956, and were in production until 1970. During this time, 3 series were made.
The one in the video is a '67 model, that didn't come with the stag shaped hood ornament - only the Series Is & IIs had it, but Balázs couldn't resist to fix one onto this car. Apart from this, the car is close to its original factory conditions, equipped with an inline 4 engine & an American styled 'Three on the tree' manual shifter.
⚠️: внимание ‼️
Please note, that this video emphasises the mechanical & engineering specs of the presented Volga, we hardly engage in the now commonplace jokes and stereotypes of this Communist beast!
