Our Asia-Pacific Community Day began with an overview and opening remarks from Internet Society CEO Andrew Sullivan and Community Engagement Manager Sarah Lake.
This was followed by the keynote address from Internet visionary and winner of the prestigious Jonathan B. Postel Service Award, Onno Purbo.
We then moved on to the moderated roundtable discussions with Asia-Pacific region experts and community advocates to discuss the challenges this region faces in Internet resilience and what the Internet Society community is doing to strengthen it.
We finished the day with a Time2Act round, where we had the opportunity to share specific ideas for how we can all become changemakers and take action to improve Internet resilience. For those who wanted to stay a bit longer, there was a unique opportunity afterward to meet the Internet Society Board of Trustees and be a part of a stimulating discussion about our 2030 strategy.
