Hi Richard, I'm loving your videos, and I've learned a lot - thank you. I have a question. I've built a small/medium-sized multi-user database where my users have their own copies of the Access front-end, each accessing external tables hosted as Sharepoint lists. Now I'm assuming that compact and repair is really about efficient use of storage in the back-end, so is there any residual benefit to compacting and repair if the tables are external anyway? And would that mean that each user needs to compact and repair their front-end copies? Thanks.

I copied pasted data from excel to access (mdb file) and it made my db is so large (not normal increasing like input manually) & it is so slow to execute commands... I hope this feature will normalize my db file size. Thank you...

When I try to Compact and Repair as indicated in your video, I get a "file already in use" error. Even if I open the DB with the Shift key to stop the Opening Window, I still get the error. As a result I cannot compact the DB. Help!
