A couple of weeks ago, I posted here about not getting a sense of the "show" of "Jagged Little Pill," as opposed to the previous Tiny Desk performances of "Hadestown" and "The Band's Visit" (Katrina!!!). Even though it's the same kind of setup - actor/singers in a common room - this absolutely tells me that there's something more, something capital-T-Theatrical about this show, away from the Tiny Desk. Thank you!

I was incredibly lucky and got to be at the Opening night of this version on the West End and it was easily the most incredible live musical experiences I’ve ever had and now seeing the Broadway cast, Bobby Conte has blown me out the water! There’s an amazing Seth Rudetsky video on KZitem breaking another hundred people down and analysing the original recording and the song became so much more meaningful. It’s especially interesting as the Pamela Myers interpretation is just so different. Thé skill that so many artists have to reinterpret and reinvigorate work as genius as Sondheims is astounding.
