When I bought mine, 2011, I drove a Tacoma and it was rough as a buck board. The Frontier was car smooth and handled like a car. I needed a commuter so I bought. I now have 250,000 trouble free miles on it. The only thing wrong is the 4.5’bed. You can’t carry much at all.

One thing i really appreciate about the Frontier is that its old school. Not too many buttons and electronics. Just more stuff to go wrong and technology takes away from a vehicles soul and its just more distracting so it also takes value away from just enjoying a good ol drive. Hope the Frontier stays "outdated" its just a personal preference. They better keep the manual trans too.

I've had a white pro 4x frontier since January 2016. Tons of power to pass slower traffic and rides good overall. Check engine light would come on due to dirt getting in the emissions breather box that the gas tank vents through. Rerouted the original route of breather hose from that box to the gas filler tube to that box to the clean side of the air filter housing in the engine compartment. Now I have a truck that has an off road package that can get dirty without having check engine lights on all the time. Also my Holstein rear shocks are leaking oil. 33,000 miles.

Everywhere else in the work got the new frontier(navara) but here in the states the frontier is making NISSAN NORTH AMERICA money because the main thing about the frontier is that its so profitable just like the ram 1500 classic. The components for the frontier have been paid off so every frontier sold is profit because of the fact that its been out for so long and has been selling fairly well since 2005. nissan has stuck with it for the us market possibly until the demand dies down. Like i said its just like the ram 1500 and the Mercedes g wagon from the conception until 2018

@truckingswe
6 жыл бұрын
Yeah i liked the engine its a 2,5L 4cyl dubbelturbo whit 190hp, we here in Sweden don't get the singel turbo 160hp would haved that engine if i could. But we only get the fully loaded option vise Navara and 190HP. The USA Frontier is the old Navara, they came whit a refreshed version for Europe and some other countrys in 2016, coil spring rear and a lot of other new features, 7speed automatic gearbox, satnav, keyless, cameras al around so you get overhead picture on the backup camera, etc

Diesel Power I'm going to have to get rid of my loaded, 2016 F150 Lariat Sport 4x4 because it's a LHD vehicle and go for the RHD Navara. Right now, my truck is 365 hp. It will be weird to drop down to 190 hp. Does it feel like you have enough power to pass on the highway? That's one of my main worries because the highway through the middle of Kenya requires constant passing of big trucks.

I'm waiting on the 2020 new Frontier to come out, as is rumored. That's when I will jump in and get a hell of a deal on a 2019 model. I could get one now for $29k. They are simplistic and that's their beauty. A proven engine and transmission. No frills. The last real truck being made. And it's made in America. Bilstein shocks, rear locker, factory spray on bedliner, Fosgate sound and a naturally aspirated engine. WTF more could you want? A comparable Colorado will cost you $5k more at least. They will even throw in a lifetime powertrain warranty. Best deal around.
