As I stated in the last video, lignification is very important for the levels of temperatures fig trees can withstand in the winter. Unfortunately for many of us, our trees grow too much in the summer and don't lignify well and in time for the winter. This video is a comparison and I think solid evidence that the variety itself is not the only factor when it comes to winter hardiness.
