This channel requires a lot of attention from all the physics students across the globe. I have studied so many concepts in physics through this channel from the last 2 years(or more) and now I am doing my bachelors in physics and I still love to watch these videos as they improve my understanding, every time I watch. Thank you sir!

Dude, yes! I don't know why this concept is so hard for me to internalize-I think its when books go straight from circular motion but use a sine wave. I'm like "what the heck, it's not circular, it's sine you moron!" But I was the moron. I think if I can keep the image of the yellow marker, the vertical dot, and the vertical dot with time in my mind, it should link the three. Thanks man. Great video.

I have a question,we all know that in UCM angular velocity (w) is constant ,thus any point on circumference of circle will have constant speed but we also know that in SHM speed of the particle keeps changing.(i.e speed is max in MEAN position and ZERO at EXTREME position) THEN HOW CAN PROJECTION OF PARTICLE PERFORMING UCM BE SHM????
@FlippingPhysics
4 жыл бұрын
I have several videos dedicated to this. I would try this one first: www.flippingphysics.com/shm-position.html or perhaps you would like the graphical approach better: www.flippingphysics.com/shm-graphs.html
@Ami_S
2 жыл бұрын
I think this has already been answered but still, The body moving in circular motion has uniform speed and same tangential velocity (magnitude). But the component of tangential velocities along the x and y axes keep changing. At the bottom of the UCM, the body is just moving to the right and not up, tangential velocity's component along the SHM line(in this case y axis) is 0 which proves that though, a UCM has constant speed, but the component of its velocity about the standard axes varies with time and hence along that axis , the body is in SHM.
