True that it does transfer less force, but just like pushing an exercise ball down the sidewalk is easier than pushing a bean bag down the sidewalk. The rigidity makes for more efficient use. Less push strokes to get the same distance. Also the dual tube frame is lighter. It seems counter intuitive, but the extra tubing weighs less than the hardware required on the open frame designs. Hope this helps.

Is that because the tubing is thinner in the triangular-box frame design? Or is it really less hardware? What hardware is missing on the Aero T versus the Aero Z?

This is an involved answer. If you call our customer service line at 800-545-2266 we can best explain it over the phone. Thanks.

Surely that's not an advantage! The dual tube frame deflects less, but the deflection goes further back into where the seat attaches to the seat. That means it's going to transfer more force to the user. The Aero Z frame takes more of the force into the bottom tube, flexing more at the bottom and therefore transmitting less force to the user. It seems to me that the mono tube frame is better. Presumably it's also lighter.

Interesting. At the same time, though, the Aero T seems to be most durable. If someone were to be a very rough user (think: WCMX) it would be advantageous to have the box frame of the Aero T to withstand the unusual forces. Yes, more shock gets distributed to the rider, but we never expect these sports to be gentle. :)

If only the aero t were easier to load. The aero z I find much more convenient for loading purposes. Especially self loading through a driver door.
