An old time lifter once told me that the power gods don’t let you have it all. I lifted in 100 competitions in my powerlifting career and that proved true a number of times .You just had one of those days. I personally think you are capable of more than a 320 kg total and I hope deep down you feel the same.Decompress, relax and come back at it again.A lot of the people here believe in you and will be in your corner,no matter what.Bought the new shirt and looking forward to wearing it.

Craig I started following you years ago and from the beginning you have inspired me and lot of people to never give up, to show up every training sesh and give everything, to celebrate every conquer cuz in the end what matters is the work we pull and do every f**cking day. You and Jas work so much to give us content and a brand that inspired every single one of us. And still we're all humans, we have ours mountains to climb in life and we do our best. Seeing you compete and hitting that snatch after all downs and ups it's such an inspiration and honestly even emotionally speaking, seeing you hit that just give me the chills. In the end of the day I just wanna say, that competing or not, you are a legend. You know why? Because, as you teach us, you never quit. Congrats and thank you so much for this.

I've been a competitive athlete all my life and struggle in the same way you do on competition day. Till last year, I heard another athlete say "in order to be a top performer you have to be your own worst critic but, you also have to be your own loudest cheerleader". That hit home for me cause I had never been that for myself. It felt weird and a little fake at first but after a while it really started to pay off and competition is a lot more fun now. 43 years to find that missing piece but "we don't quit" ;). You were amazing in training all year and you were amazing on that comp floor! Thank you for doing these videos, being such a great inspiration, and for the sickest clothes in the game! You rock

You are such an inspiration to anyone coming back from injury. You are proof it can be done and your videos show people who are down that they are not alone, which I'm sure helps on the darker days. Cramps are a major plot twist on your weightlifting journey, and a random one too! Like you said, you know what you're capable of, so don't let the random thing take away from your work so far. Competitions are so mentally tough, and when a competition is finished is exactly when you need a holiday! Mental break time Craig❤ Whatever you do, you dont quit, you leave no stone unturned. Craig, if you do anything other than hold your head high, im going to be disappointed. YOU are an ABSOLUTE LEGEND. You inspire so many people, you're so humble, you put in all the hard work, you have formed such a great circle of support and created a successful brand. YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR. As someone who has competed and come close to winning a few times (different sport but still a solo sport) the time instantly after sucks - you know this. Especially when you are barely beaten and were hindered by cramps. Trust me, in grappling, your grip strength goes, you start cramping, you cant even defend yourself the way you know you can. All the rolling sessions where it didn't happen doesn't matter at that point. All you can do is your best... and YOU FUCKING DID. You're going to get that fire again, and if you don't you have nothing to prove anyways. LOVE YOU p.s. HI JAS!!

Just echoing the comments by others, but you ABSOLUTELY should be proud of the effort. Proud of the work you did. The obstacles you overcame along the way. Sending 150 on the platform. Highest total ever. You were 2nd in the country! Sure, it stings to know you had more, but that's how it goes sometimes. That doesn't diminish all the work you did and the accomplishments you had along the way. Just keep swimming. It's a personal choice and you do what's best for you, but selfishly I'd love to see you get back on the stage and do it again. I love watching people compete. Some of my best memories are of watching my son and his friends compete in high school swimming. Just seeing the work they put in and then seeing it pay off is so rewarding. Even so, he had one of his biggest disappointments of his career at his final state swimming meet as a senior where his medley team got DQ'd in prelims (which is just a huge mistake) while putting up the 2nd fastest time of the year in the state. They were a guaranteed podium but didn't get to swim finals. But that disappointment led to the final race of the meet and his final race ever (he's not swimming in college) where he and his teammates overachieved and he put up his fastest 100 free ever (by a large margin). I think that earlier DQ made that result even sweeter. The Team will certainly be cheering for you, regardless of what you decide to do next. We Don't Quit!

Times like this are what allow us to build a better us for the future.

My first year competing I was aiming for Canadian national qualifying and if I hit my 3rd attempts (which I've done in training) I would've made it. One of my biggest goals in life was to say I made it to nationals and I missed by 4kgs. I sat on the platform in the back and cried my eyes out. The expectations, the stress, the training, everything is so hard. Looking back I realized that this is something only true warriors undertake as a goal and its a very difficult journey that only the strongest can get through. I know 100% how you feel brother and not living up the ungodly high expectations that we set on ourselves doesn't make us any less valuable as a human. Keep you're head up big guy, you've achieved something amazing even if it wasn't #1. We don't f#^%ing quit

Wow! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. That 150kg was 🔥! You’ve totally got it. But understand if you want to step away too. Give it some time. You always got your fans, team & JAS no matter what. You are the Man in the Arena! We Don’t Quit!

so nice seeing you hit that milestone on the 150 - keep on grinding, and you are a great athlete and a honest motivation to look at.

Hard to watch that level of disappointment, you inspire Craig, we love to watch the highs and these odd days. Keep doing what you do compete or don’t you won’t quit lifting and we won’t quit watching ❤

Greetings from Portugal! I have had some health problems, but thanks also to the motivation of this channel and, despite my 55 years, although I no longer belong to the Portuguese Karate national team of which I was part for 10 years in my 20s to 30s, I continue to do something I've always done to help me in my sport: I work with weights. At the moment, whenever I can, I do powerlifting and, sometimes, Crossfit. I've been following this channel for a long time and I wanted to say that you've been doing an excellent job. A competition is just a competition! I practically ran across Europe and Japan in my sport and sometimes you lose and sometimes you win and, whether you lose or win, sometimes it's by the smallest margin. It's part of life! What really matters is the entire process and its evolution. Many congratulations to you both as I believe that Jas has also been an extraordinary support. Thanks again and very well done!
